Abbreviations

  • A paper-pencil game for two or more players.
  • Object of the game is to guess a sentence or phrase from its initials.
  • One player thinks of a sentence or phrase (such as a well-known saying, a proverb, a line from a song, etc.) and writes down the first letters of the words in order.
  • He/she may also tell the category of the phrase.
  • The other players then try to come up with guesses matching the given first letters.
  • Whoever finds the target phrase chooses a new phrase for the other players to solve.
